Covet

Sometimes it takes More Than Time when we fall into the trap of desiring what someone else has. Then you will find God waiting for you to ask Him to help you loose your desire for it, no matter what it is or was.

Exodus 20:17

17 “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.”

Mark 12:31

31 And the second, like it, is this:  ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

Romans 13:9, 10

9 For the commandments,  “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,”  “You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely,  “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
