Comfort

Sometimes it takes More Than Time to mend a broken heart whether it is from a failed romance, marriage or the loss of a friend or relative.

When your heart has been broken it may seem like you have nothing to live for but with the help of friends, family and God a broken heart really can heal. You are human and there is nothing wrong with a good cry, that is one reason we have tears and even Jesus cried (John 11:35). Talking to a good friend or maybe a family member about your broken heart can help it heal as it is good to know someone is willing to share your heavy load and sometimes the best friends of all to talk to is God and He is ready to listen.

You would not have the pain of a broken heart if there was no love involved and the same love you were willing to share with someone else will help to ease the pain and mend your broken heart if you will share it with God and ask Him to help you and to guide you. He can change that broken heart love to a love that will help others in their time of need.

Remember sometimes it does take More Than Time to mend a broken heart.

Matthew 5:4

4 Blessed are those who mourn,

For they shall be comforted.

4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

Matthew 11:28, 29, 30

28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Romans 15:1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6

1 We then who are strong ought to bear with the scruples of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

2 Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, leading to edification.

3 For even Christ did not please Himself; but as it is written,  “The reproaches of those who reproached You fell on Me.”

4 For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.

5 Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus,

6 that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

2 Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.

3 For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.

4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

5 Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:

6 That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 1:3, 4, 5
